The Hammerhead Horns won “Blues Band of Year” for 2026 at the Annual Capital District Eddie's Music Awards on Sunday, April 26. The ceremony was held at Proctor's Theatre in Schenectady, NY. The band members were both stunned and humbled. 

Mike Kelley gave an eloquent, but brief, speech citing that their is a "fine line between brilliance and luck'. The luck occured when the 4 original members (of the HHH) met to do a one time gig at a festival in Dutchess County (NY) and the brilliance occured when, Lead Vocalist, Leslie Barkman joined the band. Congratulations to all of the nominees and thankyou to ALL involved.
